Ancon Australia

From Global Energy Monitor

Ancon Australia constructed Port Anthony, a small regional port in Gippsland in eastern Victoria. The port has been touted as opening up opportunities for brown coal export projects.[1] The managing director of Ancon Australia, John Anthony, proposes dredging a channel to allow ships larger than 65,000 tons to access the port. In 2009 The Age reported that Ancon "bought the site next to Esso/BHP Billiton's Barry Beach marine terminal in 2001."[2]
