Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation (Ansteel Group in short; less popularly Angang Group) is a Chinese state-owned steel maker. The corporation was under the supervision of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It is headquartered in Anshan, Liaoning.

History

Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation and Pangang Group Co., Ltd. were merged to form Ansteel Group in May 2010.[1]

On August 20, 2021, Ansteel Group and Ben Gang formally began the process of merging their operations. The owner of Ben Gang -- Liaoning Province's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission -- would transfer a 51-percent controlling stake in the steelmaker to Ansteel Group, and Ben Gang will become a subsidiary of Ansteel Group.[2][3]
