Background

Chita Midorihama LNG Terminal is an LNG terminal in Chūbu, Japan.

Chita Midorihama LNG Terminal imports LNG from five countries; Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Qatar and Russia. The LNG supplies gas for the city grid as well as a local power station (Chubu Electric's Kawagoe Thermal Power Plant). There is also a 220,000 m3 storage facility that was added to the terminal in 2016.

This terminal is now part of the broader Chita LNG Terminal complex that also includes Chita LNG Terminal and Chita Kyodo LNG Terminal.
