Background

The plant temporarily stopped operating in October 2019, but resumed steel production in May 2020.[2][3] This plant is different from the Dniprovskiy Metallurgical Plant, which is officially named Dniprovsky Metallurgical Combine (Дніпровський металургійний комбінат (Ukrainian)[4], while this plant is named Dniprovsky Metallurgical Plant (Дніпровський металургійний завод (Ukrainian).[5]

The plant suspended steel and iron production in January 2022.[6] As of March 2022, the plant is mothballed due to the war, lack of raw materials and blockage of ports.[7][8]

As of November 2023, the plant has been producing coke and rolled metal products from raw materials supplied by the client.[9][8]
