Dangjin Coal Terminal, also known as Pyeongtaek-Dangjin Port Coal Terminal (Korean: 평택·당진항은), is a coal terminal South Korea.[1]
Location
Dangjin Coal Terminal is located in the Hyundai Steel pier (Songak pier), Gyoro-gil, Seongmun-myeon, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea.
Background
The coal terminal is in the territory and a direct supply chain to the EWP Dangjin Thermal Power Plant.
The coal handling capacity of the berth number 5 at the Hyundai Steel Wharf (Songak Wharf) is listed at 8.4 mtpa at the Pyeongtaek-Dangjin Port. It is presumed that the capacity is of the coal terminal at the EWP Dangjin Thermal Power Plant.
In 2025, the Pyeongtaek-Dangjin port handled 428,234 tonnes of anthracite coal and 9,043,276 tonnes of bituminous coal, totaling 9,471,510 tonnes of coal.[2] It is assumed coal is handled only at the Pyeongtaek-Dangjin Port Coal Terminal.
