|This article is part of the CoalSwarm coverage of China and coal|
Datang Shuicheng power station (大唐水城煤电一体化项目) is a proposed 1,320-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Guizhou Province, China.
It is an expansion project of Yemazhai power station in a different location.
The map below shows Shuicheng County, the approximate location where the power station would be built.
Background on Project
In 2012 preparatory work began on a 2 x 660 MW coal plant in Shuicheng, sponsored by China Datang. It is an expansion project of Yemazhai power station in a different location (Yemazhai power station itself is an expansion project of Shuicheng power station, a 110MW retired power station in Shuicheng County).
However, with no developments since 2015, the Datang Shuicheng power station appears to be cancelled.
