Gasoducto del Este, also known as the Eastern Gas Pipeline, is an operating gas pipeline in the Dominican Republic.

Location

The pipeline runs from AES's Andrés LNG Terminal to several power plants and other industrial sites in Boca Chica and San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic.

Background

The Gasoducto del Este supplies gas from AES's Andrés LNG Terminal to industrial customers including the Siba power station in Boca Chica and the Quisqueya 1, Quisqueya 2 and San Pedro de Macorís power stations in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic.[1][6] The 50-kilometer pipeline, which began commercial operations in 2020, is owned and operated by Energía Natural Dominicana (EnaDOM), a 50-50 joint venture between AES Dominicana and Energas.[1][4]
