ITPCL Parangipettai Captive Coal Jetty is a planned coal-import jetty at Parangipettai port in Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu, India. The facility is intended to supply the nearby IL&FS Tamil Nadu Power Company Limited (ITPCL) power station.[1]
Location
The jetty is planned for Parangipettai port in Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu, India.
Background

It reduced planned cargo-handling capacity from 15 million to 5 million tonnes per annum and provided for completion of a 165-metre coal berth and associated trestle, using offshore lighterage rather than the previously envisaged deep-water configuration.[2]
