Jonathan Epstein is a Director of the small Victorian lobbying firm, ECG Advisory Solutions. ECG Advisory Solutions represents a range of companies including small coal company start-ups, Mantle Mining and Exergen. The Victorian lobbyist register does not disclose whether it is Epstein or his business partner David Gazard who works for these clients.^[1]

A biographical note states:^[2]

"Jonathan is an economist by background with significant contacts in the financial services and banking industry. He has 15 years of experience in senior financial and economic advisory roles as well as advising at a federal and state government level. He was a senior analyst at Australia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund – the Future Fund – working in the portfolio strategy, infrastructure and property teams. Jonathan brings strong strategic insights into the way the financial markets intersect with government having been a strategic adviser to the chairman Australia’s Future Fund and a federal treasurer. He helped with the creation and establishment of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF). Along the way, he has worked for a federal cabinet minister and a Victorian state leader. He has also held positions at central commonwealth and state public service institutions such as Commonwealth Treasury and Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet."
