- "Peter has a Bachelor's degree with First-Class Honours and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland where he also won the University Medal. He joined the board of Exergen in 2005 as non-executive director. Over a long and successful career, Peter gained extensive operational and general management experience in a diverse range of industries and processes including oil refining, chemical manufacture, coal gasification research and development and alumina manufacture. Before his retirement from full-time employment in late 2004, Peter held the position of International Vice President of Shell for oil refining based in London. Peter is married and has two adult children living in Melbourne. He has many outside interests the most important of which are landscaped and botanical watercolour painting."
