Background
The port of Casablanca falls under the Agence Nationale des Ports (ANP) as landlord authority, with Marsa Maroc — successor to the former Office d'Exploitation des Ports (ODEP) — as its principal terminal operator, handling over 10 million tonnes a year across four terminals: the Eastern Container Terminal, a Ro-Ro terminal, a multipurpose terminal and the Terminal Minéralier (Minerals Terminal). Commodities include containers, steel products, timber, cereals, animal feed, vehicles and machinery, and coal and petroleum coke.[2]
