ZHD Stevedores

B.V. Zeehavenbedrijf Dordrecht, also known as ZHD Stevedores or ZHD, invested in additional quay length, storage area, cranes, warehouse capacity, and specific port facilities both in Dordrecht and Moerdijk. ZHD is capable of operating in the entire Rotterdam region and to handle ships of all sizes. In the 1970’s, the stevedoring world in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond area witnessed a tremendous growth. Stevedore refers to the act of loading or offloading cargo to and/or from a ship.

ZHD's terminals at the Port include the following:

• Graanweg Terminal: The Graanweg Terminal is a dedicated terminal where ZHD serves long-term customers with the transhipment of specific bulk products.
• Roode Vaart Terminal: The Roode Vaart terminal is the newest acquired location of ZHD in Moerdijk. This terminal is under development and will be delivered with a quay and storage facilities.
• Vlasweg Terminal: The Vlasweg terminal is the largest terminal of ZHD in Moerdijk in both tonnage, quay, and square metres. The Moerdijk office is situated at this terminal and consists of warehouses and weighbridges.
• Staal Terminal: The ZHD Staal Terminal is a dedicated terminal with bridge crane and quay specialised in the transhipment of steel coils.
