Tuapse Commercial Sea Port Coal Terminal (Russian: Туапсинский морской торговый порт) is in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.

Background

Tuapse Commercial Sea Port is technically a terminal with 19 berths.[1] According to the website, 20% of the cargo handled at the terminal is coal.[1]

The capacity of the terminal is 17 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), including 13 mtpa for oil. The terminal is used mainly to export oil products manufactured at the Tuapse, Achinsk and Samara refineries.[2] The port also handled 2.8 million tonnes of coal in 2012,[3] and 2.1 million tonnes in 2015.[4]

In 2020, the port handled 14.9 million tonnes of cargo in total, including 3.5 million tonnes of coal.[5] In 2021, general cargo handled reached 14.6 million tonnes, with coal handling at 2.9 million tonnes.[6] Coal handling decreased further in 2023 at 1.76 million tonnes.[7]
