Background
Colakoglu Metalurji S.A. was founded in 1945 with a steelworks in Karaköy, Turkey. The Dilovasi, Kocaeli steel plant was built in 1969.[1]
The Colakoglu Metallurgical plant uses mix of steel scrap, DRI, HBI, and pig iron in electric arc furnace (EAF) feed mix.[2]
Colakoglu Metalurji AS operates Çolakoğlu Metallurgy Port, a large dry cargo port in Northern Marmara Region of Turkey. The port's capacity is 7 MTPA.[3]
