Navlakhi Jaydeep Associates Coal Terminal is an operating coal terminal at Navlakhi Port in Morbi district, Gujarat, India. The terminal is owned and operated by Jaydeep Associates.
It is one of four separately operated coal-handling jetties within the Navlakhi Group of Ports. The other facilities are the Navlakhi GMB Coal Terminal, Navlakhi United Shippers Coal Terminal and Navlakhi Shreeji Shipping Coal Terminal.[1]
Location
The port is situated in Hansthal Creek at the southwestern end of the Gulf of Kutch.
Background
Jaydeep Associates operates a private jetty approximately 76.5 metres long within Navlakhi Port. Gujarat Maritime Board identifies coal as the facility's principal imported commodity. The jetty has approximately 200 square metres of immediate backup area. Coal discharged from barges is transferred to larger port storage areas or dispatched to inland consumers.[2]
The Gujarat Maritime Cluster reports an annual capacity of 1.1 million tonnes for the Jaydeep Associates jetty.[1] Although coal is the facility's principal cargo, the published capacity should be understood as total jetty capacity unless a coal-specific environmental consent establishes otherwise.
