Çelikler Holding is a company in Turkey with investments in coal-fired power stations and coal mining.[1] It is headquartered in Ankara.[2]

The company produces 9.9 million tonnes of coal per year from five mines.[3]

In 2018 the company was paid millions of lira by the government in support of its coal-fired plant via the capacity mechanism.[4]

Coal Reserves

Out of the five mines that Çelikler Holding operates, it owns only three, Seyitomer, Bursa and Bursa Keles. Alpagut Dodurga and Dodurga Ayva are owned by TKI and leased to Çelikler. The reserves for these three mines are; Seyitömer 176 million tons[5], Bursa 99 million tons[6], and Bursa Keles 67 million tons.[7] In total, the company has at least 342 million tons in reserves in these three mines.
